If you’re looking to buy an Android smartphone in budget of Rs 15,000, then you can go for Xiaomi Mi3, Moto G or Zenfone 5. This comparison will be helpful for you as after reading this you’ll be able to buy the best mid budget smartphone according to your own choice.
Firstly, I’ll do the comparison of the price of these smartphones. Moto G is available in 2 variants. 8GB Moto G comes at price Rs 12,499, while 16GB Moto G is priced at Rs 13,999. Asus Zenfone 5 8GB version comes at Rs 9,999 only, while 16GB version of Zenfone 5 is priced at Rs 12,999. Display Screen Comparison
Moto G comes with 4.5 inch display screen having resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 329ppi. In comparison to Moto G’s 4.5 inch screen, both Asus Zenfone 5 and Xiaomi Mi3 have got larger display screen which is of 5 inch. Resolution of display screen of Zenfone 5 is 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density is 294ppi. Resolution of display screen of Mi3 IS 1920 X 1080 pixels and pixel density is of 441ppi.
Even if the size of display screen of Zenfone 5 and Xiaomi Mi3 is same, Xiaomi Mi3 wins over the other 2 smartphones as it comes with better resolution and better pixel density. Huge success of Xiaomi Mi3 in china has been also because of its awesome display screen.
Zenfone 5 works on Android 4.3 operating system, and you’ll be able to update to Android 4.4 Kitkat in future. I don’t know that whether Zenfone 5 will get Android L update in future.
Xiaomi Mi3 works on customized verison of Android 4.3 operating system.
Moto G wins the race here, as it comes with Android 4.4 version. Moto G will definitely get Android L update in future. If Xiaomi announces that Mi3 will get Android L update, then it will become a better choice over Moto G and Zenfone 5.
Motorola Moto G
Processor and RAM
Moto G comes with 1.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, while Zenfone 5 comes with 1.6GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor. It is Xiaomi Mi3 which has got the most powerful processor which is 2.3GHz Quad Core Snapdragon processor.
When it comes to RAM, I may go for Zenfone 5 or Xiaomi Mi3. Both Zenfone 5 and Xiaomi Mi3 have got 2GB RAM, while Moto G has got 1GB RAM only. Motorola really needs to launch one more smartphone in the same price range, and this time it should provide 2GB RAM and even external storage option.
Camera Features Comparison
Moto G, Zenfone 5 and Xiaomi Mi3 comes with rear facing camera of 5 megapixels, 8 megapixels and 13 megapixels respectively. Price of Xiaomi Mi3 is little more than Zenfone 5 16GB version, but spending more to buy Xiaomi Mi3 online can be worthy as you get 13 megapixels camera instead of 8 megapixel camera which provided by Asus with Zenfone 5. You may be amazed to know the 13 megapixels camera of Xiaomi Mi3 has got Dual LED flash.
Moto G comes with front camera of 1.3 megapixel, while both Zenfone 5 and Xiaomi Mi3 have got front camera of 2 megapixel.
Asus Zenfone 5
When it comes to connectivity features, you may prefer Xiaomi Mi3 over Moto G and Zenfone 5 as it has also got NFC connectivity. All the 3 smartphones have got all the other necessary connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. I never thought that a smartphone like Xiaomi Mi3 which is priced so affordable will have all the connectivity features.
Moto G comes with 2070 mAh battery and battery tests have already proved that it easily lasts for a day. Zenfone 5 comes with 2110 mAh battery, while Xiaomi Mi3 has got 3050 mAh battery. I expect to get good battery life with Xiaomi Mi3.
I may go for Moto G, as I believe that Motorola smartphones provide very good battery life.

I already mentioned that both Moto G and Zenfone 5 are available in 8GB and 16GB variants. Xiaomi Mi3 is available in 16GB variant only.
It is Asus Zenfone 5 which has got external memory card slot. Both Moto G and Xiaomi Mi3 don’t have external memory card slot. That’s why when it comes to memory Asus Zenfone 5 is a better choice in comparison to Moto G and Xiaomi Mi3.

Xiaomi first got success in China, and now it may also become successful in India. I hope that Xiaomi’s Mi3 will also get the same type of response like Moto G got in India, as Xiaomi Mi comes in the same price range. It will be interesting to see that which other China based company will launch different type of Android smartphones in India. So which Mid Budget Smartphone you’ll buy for yourself?
