Huawei has also decided to compete in the Mid Budget and Low Budget Android smartphones segment. This time Huawei has launched Ascend G730 and Ascend Y600 in India. Ascend G730 is a Mid Range smartphone, while Ascend Y600 is a low budget Android smartphone. I will now make you know about both these smartphones. You should check out these smartphones as Huawei smartphones have been getting little popular these days.

I will now tell you everything about both the smartphones which have been launched by Huawei in India.

Huawei Ascend Y600 Low Budget Android Smartphone
Both Huawei Ascend G730 AND Ascend Y600 work on Android 4.2 operating system. The screen size of both the smartphones is different. Huawei Ascend G730 has a 5.5 inch touchscreen, while Huawei Ascend Y600 has a 5 inch touchscreen. It seems that Huawei has decided to provide a larger size touchscreen for the smartphone which costs more among the 2 smartphones.

The main difference between Ascend G730 and Y600 is of the processor and RAM. Ascend G730 has got a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor, while Ascend Y600 has got a 1.3GHz Dual Core processor. Ascend G730 comes with a 1GB RAM which is a common thing about smartphones in Mid Budget range. Ascend Y600 comes with a 512RAM only which may disappoint few people, as even within Rs 10,000 there are smartphones with 1GB RAM. Recently I had written about good smartphones within Rs 7,000, and also a post mentioning best smartphones within Rs 10,000.

Huawei Ascend G730 Mid Budget Android Smartphone

Internal memory provided in Ascend G730 and Ascend Y600 is of 4GB, and using external memory card one can get memory up to 32GB.

Camera features of both the smartphones are similar. Both have got a 5 megapixel rear facing camera and also a front facing camera of 0.3 megapixel. The attractive thing is both of the smartphones are Dual SIM smartphones. Connectivity features are also quite similar. Wi-Fi, GPS, USB 2.0 are the connectivity features which both smartphones have got.  The difference is that Ascend G730 has got Bluetooth 4.0 version, while the low priced Ascend Y600 has got Bluetooth 3.0 version.

Huawei Ascend G730 has a 2300 mAh battery, while Ascend Y600 has got a 2100 mAh battery. The difference between the battery of the two smartphones is not that much, but there is a difference between the price of both the smartphones.

The Mid Range smartphone Huawei Ascend G730 is priced at Rs 13,999. Low Budget smartphone Huawei Ascend Y600 is priced at Rs 8,999. Huawei is definitely trying to give a good competition to other smartphones manufacturers in India.

Verdict on Ascend G730 and Ascend Y600

Camera features of Ascend Y600 look satisfactory as the price is low, but I expected better camera features in Huawei Ascend G730. Many of my friends may still prefer to buy Moto G over Ascend G730, as Moto G comes with more memory and better features. Huawei needs to come up with more Mid Range smartphones as already there is lot of competition in this price segment. I expect to get at least a 8 megapixel camera if I am spending Rs 14,000 on a smartphone.

I feel that this is just the beginning which Huawei has done by launching Ascend G730 and Ascend Y600. I expect that Huawei in a month or two will come with more good Android smartphones at an affordable price. Recently OnePlus One has got lot of popularity, and if Huawei comes with smartphones similar to OnePlus One then Huawei may also get good success in India.
